Kuta Shipyard · early access

From idea to engineered reality.

An agentic hardware development platform that turns concepts into products, faster. Agents do the engineering work in numbers at every step; you see the same model, decide and approve.

Workspace · KLIV · Design
The Shipyard workspace: KLIV, a two-legged walking robot, in the Design view, with its model tree, properties and the agent's chat beside the 3D view
KLIV a walking robot, designed, simulated and built in the workspace.
The problem

Hardware development is fragmented.

01

Every discipline its own tool

A whiteboard, a CAD seat, a spreadsheet for the calculations, a folder for the CE file, a supplier portal for every shop.

02

Every handover loses context

Files are exported, re-entered and checked again. The reason behind a dimension stays with whoever chose it.

03

Most of the time is waiting

For a quote, a calculation, a review, a signature. The work is quick; the time between the steps is not.

The solution

Coordinated agentic engineering.

One workspace holds the whole product. Agents work every discipline in it, each knowing what the others found, and you approve what matters.

  • One product, one source of truth. Code, requirements, checks, parts, documents and decisions live in one git repository, tied together. Nothing to re-enter.
  • Agents that answer in numbers. A clearance in millimetres, a safety factor after the standard, a price from a shop. Pictures are for understanding; numbers are for deciding.
  • People approve what matters. Plans, releases, signatures and orders are always a person's, recorded with who and when. Every agent decision is traceable.
  • Your work stays yours. The heavy work runs on your computer, in open formats: STEP, DXF, STL, KiCad, MJCF. The cloud carries only what is shared.
How it works

Concept to product, in eight stages.

Each stage ends in deliverables you can inspect and export, with their status and what they were made from.

  1. 01

    Discover

Ideas, references and photos on a shared board, the brief written with the agent.

    board · brief
  2. 02

    Define

Requirements tied to checks, concepts compared and one chosen, the design language set.

    requirements · decision
  3. 03

    Design

Parts and assemblies as code, every fit and clearance measured, drawings dimensioned.

    model · drawings
  4. 04

    Engineer

Calculations after the standards, tolerance chains, screw joints, the BOM in levels.

    calculations · BOM
  5. 05

    Simulate

Joints swept, motion played and checked, physics in MuJoCo, finite elements on a part.

    motion · sim · FEM
  6. 06

    Prototype

Print packs in their print orientation, sheets nested, made parts quoted by shops.

    packs · quotes
  7. 07

    Validate

Tests on the real thing, measured prints back into the model, risks and the CE checklist with evidence.

    trials · tech file
  8. 08

    Manufacture

Released documents with signatures, made and bought parts ordered, issues from use back as tasks.

    release · orders
Capabilities

Every discipline. One workspace.

Each capability is a place where you work beside the agent, and a tool any agent can call. The tag says where it runs today.

Ideas and concept

An endless board in real time, concept images from words, a sketch or a photo, Pugh decisions, a design language that reaches the CAD.

workspace · MCP

Design

Parts and assemblies as code (build123d), fits, clearances and joint sweeps measured, drawings with a hole table.

workspace · MCP

Calculation

Shafts, bolts, bearings, beams, buckling, welds and finite elements after the standards, as records a person checks and signs.

workspace · MCP

Simulation

Motion scripts checked frame by frame, MuJoCo from the CAD, the live twin of a robot on the bench.

workspace · MCP

Manufacturing

Shops publish their machines and rates; made parts are quoted and ordered: CNC, sheet, laser, print, moulding.

Make · web · API · MCP

Components

Bought parts found at the distributors, compared in one currency, kept in a library and priced into the BOM.

Parts · web · API · MCP

Compliance

Risks and performance levels, the Machinery Regulation's checklist with evidence, RoHS and REACH, the technical file.

workspace · MCP

Documentation

Numbered documents with revisions, signatures and hashed releases, reports in your firm's look, assembly instructions.

workspace · MCP

Collaboration

Teams and channels where @agent reaches your agent, pull requests reviewed with every changed part in 3D, your workspace from your phone.

Cloud · workspace
The product

An engineering workspace, not a chat.

Chat is one way in. The artifacts are the point: the model, the calculation, the BOM, the trace from a requirement to its evidence. Real screenshots from the workspace today.

Concepts on the board, the decision between them waiting for you, the agent beside it.

The PDM page's traceability: each requirement with the checks that verify it, their values and the evidence
Every requirement traced to the checks that verify it, their numbers and the evidence.
Fold Lamp · Make · Production

The platform

The work on your computer. The shared parts in the cloud.

The heavy work runs where your product is. What is fast and shared goes through the cloud. No service holds what your repository does not.

Workspace

On your computer

The workspace, the agent and the engines build, check, render and simulate. They listen on nothing but your own machine. Your product is a git repository.

Cloud

One account, your team

Teams, the board in real time, notices, and your workspace from anywhere, each browser approved at your computer. People and what they say, never your code.

Make · Parts

Services of their own

The manufacturing network and the component sourcing work alone too: for a buyer on the web, a shop with its machines, another company's agent.

Every capability is a tool your agent can call.
